Some people’s ignorance and ego are so gigantic, so huge, and so out-of-control that they will even believe the unbelievable.  They will accept as truth the real and proven falsehoods of life.  They will be told the truth and have it proven to them,…and still not accept the facts!  Have you ever known a person with those blatant characteristics?  They are awfully hard and difficult to be around aren’t they?

Well do not be discouraged, almost all of us have had unpleasant encounters with people such as I just described.  These type folks, thankfully and with gratefulness, are not in the majority.  They are not a rarity either.  The more bizarre the untruth is, the more radical these type people’s responses and accepted positions will become.  It seems that the more a human being is deceived, the more committed he becomes to his accepted position on a given subject, even if his position is incorrect or blatantly proven to be wrong.  I guess that the old saying, “ignorance is bliss,” is really not  all that true.

There also appears to be a connecting attribute of ignorant people who cannot be reasoned with so as to reverse their incorrect stance about a subject.  It appears that often times one who is wrong about something, one who has chosen to believe the lie instead of the truth about a subject, just digs in his heels and will not be budged from his untruthful position.  Many of such people take their ignorance all the way to their grave and from there right on into the pits of Hell.  How terribly sad.  If you are lost and you refuse to accept the truth, you just stay lost.  You will pay the ultimate price for your stupidity in the eternal afterlife.  Ignorance has a huge price tag.

This connecting attribute of all ignorant people is what I call a “motor-mouth.”  The misguided, hard-headed, unreasonable people who once are  committed to a position, understanding, or belief regarding a given subject–even though it be wrong and/or untruthful,– always want to continuously run their mouth about the correctness of their stand, or position on the  particular subject in question.  They seem to try to convince their critics or anyone else who knows what the real truth is,  that they (the incorrect ones) are right and that the dissidents (the ones who know the truth) are wrong.

Hey,….the truth is always the truth and no amount of argument will ever change it, no matter how much incorrect logic or discussion occurs.

Right is always right and the same goes for wrong.  The truth is what everyone should be seeking.  Truth is always supported with facts!

What a person really knows or believes in their own minds, will always be evidenced by what flows out of their mouths.  The Bible says…“out of the abundance of the spiritual heart ( the mind) flows the tongue.”  What ever you truly believe in your mind is what you will always be talking about.

Uncontrolled, incorrect, and ignorant words and statements flow freely from the mouth of a person who does not know the truth.  God calls such a person who speaks incorrect statements a fool.  He says this in The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 15, verse 2  NKJV:

(2)  “The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.”

All it takes to know where a person is really coming from,…what their true beliefs really are,…..is to simply listen to the words that flow out of their mouth.  Their speech will always put their minds on display.

There is an ancient saying that is so right on,…is so applicable to this discussion today that I must share it.  Think about all of the people whom you have encountered who possess more than their fair share of stupidity.  Think about how much they have run their mouths, voiced their opinions, and dominated conversations even with little or nothing of significance to say.  The ancient saying is as follows: Blessed is he, who, having nothing to say, refrains from giving wordy evidence of the fact.

When you know,… that you know,… that you know,…that you know… the truth, then there really is no need to continue wordy voluminous lip service about that which you know.  A simple statement of the truth is all that is required.  In other words, you never have to sell someone the truth.  It will always speak for itself.

Permit me to share with you a true story out of Western European history.  It is a simple illustration of how even the learned and well educated people of the world can be deceived.  It seems that whenever a person wants to believe something, to which they are totally committed, then even the facts of a matter do not make any difference to them.  Facts can and will sometimes be excused away and disregarded if they stand in the way a what a person wants to believe.  Now here is what I know to be the absolute truth.  “If you are making excuses,… any one you make will work.”  

I will define for you the word excuse…..it is the skin of a lie, stuffed with reason.

A story please…..

In the 18th century, Dr. Johann Beringer was a professor of natural philosophy at the University of Wurzburg, located in Western Germany.  He concluded that fossils were not linked to previously living animals, as some were advocating, but rather, that they were unique “creations,” each part of a divine message planted into the earth by the Lord at the time of Creation.  The good professor advocated that man study the fossils with the intent of uncovering the meaning of God’s buried message to mankind. 

His students covertly decided to play a trick on their wise and learned instructor.  They decided to make and then subsequently bury in the ground on a nearby hillside, hundreds of grotesque clay forms, some of which fossil-like, others of which had writing on them.  One of the clay figures was actually signed by “Jehovah.”

The doctor was so convinced that his “find” had divine meaning that he wrote and published a book on the subject, totally ignoring the repeated confessions of his students as to their prank.  He chided his students for attempting to undermine his work and rob him of the fame that would be due him.  It was not until Dr. Beringer discovered a “fossil” bearing his own name that he accepted the hoax for what it had been.  And for the rest of his life, he spent a small fortune trying to buy back the existing copies of his own book…….

Ignorance is not a defense when the truth is what is being searched for.  Out of ignorance, God and His Laws of the Universe (which He created) will always work against you.  If you don’t know God or any of His Laws,…then you are in for some significant misery and suffering as those Laws work against you.  Never forget….you do not know that which you do not know!

And, you never violate God’s Laws, you only confirm them!

Learn God’s Laws and put them to work for you…. not against you.  

Know the truth and you will not ever be deceived with a lie or half-truth.

The God of the Universe and His Word are THE TRUTH.
