Many of you may remember the popular old country and western song entitled, “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places.” It carried a catchy tune and melody and was played daily by disc jockeys across the nation. The jist of the lyrics was how sad and unfortunate most folks are who are truly looking for someone to love, but they look in the wrong places for such a person and consequently never find that special someone.
Well, I tell you the truth, the same situation applies to most folks who are in fact looking to become successful. They want to succeed so badly. They are ready to pay almost any price in order to snare their vanishing dreams, accumulate great wealth, and achieve that oh so elusive goal of real success. Most of them spend a good deal of their productive years on this quest to get what it is they are after,…but…they never find it because they keep trying to find it where it really does not exist and therefore cannot be found.
It makes no difference if you are the best fisherman in the world,…if you have the finest tackle and gear that money can buy,…if you hire the best qualified fishing guides to help you,…If you fish in the bathtub in your home,…there is a real good chance you won’t catch any fish. Why? because You are fishing in the wrong place…That’s why! Let us (you and I) take a really good, hard and long look at you and the dreams that you want to achieve. Let us examine carefully and closely at what you really want to achieve as a result of living your life in a happy and successful manner.
From the looks of things, you are, according to man’s (secular) standards, pretty impressive. You are living in a beautiful home, drive a fairly new above average automobile, and you are doing well above average financially. Most probably your neighbors would agree that you’re a hard worker who is well employed. You are definitely climbing straight up on that ladder toward success…Am I relatively close to the picture of things?
Your salary is good and your material possessions are growing in number and value. Your 401 K retirement plan is current and funded to the maximum permissible level. You may even boast of a local country club membership…BUT…the truth is that you are empty on the inside and you are faking it on the outside. Not one thing you own in your “kingdom” has brought you the happiness that you so long for! Now let’s look a little closer into your ways of thinking and rationalizing about how you can make life a little better for yourself. Possibly your thought process would go something like this,…“Maybe if I could find and land a better, higher paying job, or even explore a career change,”….or “get into a bigger house”,…or…“ drive a new luxury car,” or….or….or….
STOP THIS TYPE OF THINKING…ALREADY! Don’t allow this smoke screen of borrowing more money to acquire more things blind your eyes to the truth. There is a lot more to being rich than just making or borrowing more money…….
Seneca, the Roman, was right when he said, “Money has never yet made anyone rich.” Do you really want Riches?….Wealth?….and true Success?
Then I tell you…..Go to the Word of “The Creator Of The Universe.” to the One who made all things. Read what He has to say concerning how to become successful. It is all written in The Holy Bible for all to see and read and to use to create their own wealth and happiness.
In the Book of Joshua 1 : 8-9 The Holy Bible reads…
(8) “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
(9) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
In the Book of Psalms 1 : 1-3 NKJV. The Scripture reads:
(1) “Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
(2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
(3) He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season ,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.”
In the Book of Matthew 6 : 33 NKJV. The Holy Bible reads:
(33) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Pay careful attention. Remember what I am now telling you. It is up to you to find the right and proper way to honestly and legally create your own godly wealth. It is there for anyone who looks for it in all of the RIGHT PLACES.
God gives us a little help in getting started on the right path .
In the Book of Matthew 7 : 7-8, NKJV. The Holy Bible reads:
(7) “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
(8) For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Having given you just a taste of what God commands us to do to become prosperous and enjoy the many blessings of the wealth that you may properly create, it is now up to you to begin to Ask…Seek…and…Knock.
Money made right always spends right…
Money made wrong always messes you up or even destroys you.
You want real riches? Try switching kingdoms….leave your own kingdom, the secular way, man’s way,…. the fleshly way, and start creating your new found wealth in God’s Kingdom creating it God’s way.
Remember, money is a storehouse of value, but more importantly it is a unit of measure of the amount of service you render to another human being. Therefore, in order to have more money in your life, you must render more and better quality service to other people than you are presently rendering. You must get better at what you are doing and render more service or production than you presently are. If that is not possible with your present ways and means of generating cash flow, then do something more, something different, something in addition to your job.
Permit me to suggest that you start a business of your own. Become a productive part of the American Free Enterprise System rather than a slave to it. Step out from the crowd and do what only a few do in America…Own and operate your own business. That is the only way that you have an assured chance to ever really make it today to the top.
