People are simply amazing aren’t they? They think or say they are going to do or say something one way, and then they turn right around and do or say the exact opposite of what they first said they were going to do. They are constantly in total opposition to themselves and then wonder why life seems so hard for them to happily live. These type people seem to always have most difficult times developing and maintaining quality interpersonal relationships with other people. They are all too often most difficult to get along with or to deal with. They are terribly insecure in all of their people dealings, and they rarely trust other people, because they usually have very poor and unhealthy self images. All too often they are manipulators and schemers. They seem to always have a hidden personal agenda and will go to any lengths to accomplish it,….always at someone else’s expense.

Such individuals as I have just described are what I call scarcity-mined people. They see everything as existing in a state of severe shortage. There is never enough of anything to go all around to everybody. They are always trying to get at least their own share of the benefits while there are still a few benefits available to acquire. They operate under the overall personal philosophy that you had better get your share, or more than your share, while you can still get it because tomorrow there may well be nothing more for a person to acquire or obtain.

Now not all people are like this, but there certainly seems to be an overabundance of them as you go about living your own life. Confusion of personal purpose, lack of clearly identified and defined dreams and goals, the desire to totally control other people,… and complete insecurity of self are the primary reasons and causes for these type of people and their actions and activities.

You see, friends, God, in all of His Infinite Wisdom, created the world totally symmetrical and in perfect balance. For every action, He created or intended there to be an equal and opposite reaction. For every cause there has to be an equal and offsetting effect…for every positive there is an equal negative…for every good, a bad,…. for every truth, an equal lie. Yes and even for there to be a God, there must also be a Satan.

Regardless of their background, every man, woman, and child is born into this world on the bad, negative, satanic side of the equation because of the original sin of Adam and Eve. Have you ever noticed how you don’t ever have to teach a small child how to be bad, negative, or disobedient? They seem to be born with the understanding of how to do that all on their own,… aren’t they?

Since a great and vast majority of human beings are born of the sinful and selfish side of existence, it generally goes without saying that there is not too much additional teaching or further personal instruction needed to take place in order to assist these negative, scarcity-minded people how to get worse,…how to get more negative,…and how to think and act more selfishly in terms of what benefits themselves instead of other people. What I personally think the real problem boils down to is how easily and effortlessly such increased selfishness seems to increase and accumulate. With barely even a nudge, the scarcity-minded individuals just keep getting worse and worse until they have driven away even the best of their personal friends.

The exact opposite happens to those secure people who are abundant-mined individuals. They always seem to uplift, encourage, and empower those with whom they work and come into contact. These type people are filled with integrity and demonstrate it in all of the dealings with other people. They are well aware that there is always more than enough of everything (blessings and benefits) to go around to everyone. They are not hoarders of anything. They are eager to share and help other people become more than they presently are. The more other folks accomplish, acquire, and produce, the happier and more delighted these highly secure abundant-minded people become. Why? Because, in their minds, there are no shortages. There are plenty of blessings for everyone. Jealousy has no place in their thought processes. They know who they really are and where they are going and how they are going to get there. They are in competition with no one but themselves and their own performance as they go about their own business in a highly productive and pleasant manner and way.

Abundant minded people hope and wish the best for everyone. They have nothing to hide. They carry no ill-will towards any other people. They are givers, not takers! For the most part, these type people have a good and strong spiritual root to their lives. They personally believe in Almighty God and have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into their spiritual hearts as their personal Lord, Master, and Savior. That is primarily why they are not fearful of other human beings nor do they feel threatened in any way, shape, or form from or by the actions, speech, or efforts of other people who happen to be accomplishing success and influence in their own right, manner, and way.

When ever I represent no threat to you, and you likewise represent no real threat or harm to me whether or not we are striving towards different or even the same ends or production, there really is no need for anyone to be jealous, upset, or critical in any way towards one another. Of course, there never is any need for anyone from either party to degrade, bad-mouth, condemn, or criticize each other or any other human being.. It is the old “live and let live” philosophy of doing your own thing and simultaneously allowing the other people around you do their own thing. As long as all involved parties are not actually being harmed or injured,…as long as none of God’s Laws or your fellow man’s rights are being broken, infringed, or violated,… then why is there ever any need for a person to ever attempt to deny or at least to control any other individual’s thoughts, efforts, or accomplishments?

I do know that people are always the happiest and most productive when they are the freest or whenever they feel the freest. The opposite of this statement is also true. People are always the most unhappy,…the most stressed-out,… and least productive whenever they feel threatened, restricted, limited, used, or controlled.

I don’t know why it is so but I do know that all too often the scarcity-mined, insecure and lower more unhealthy self-image type people, regardless of the “show” they put on for everyone around them to see,… are usually the ones who want to curtail, control, or restrict other performing people who they personally feel are against them or are threatening to their planned and controlled performance. Often times these folks will attempt controlling their perceived competition by leveling false accusations against them or some other legal type charges or innuendoes designed to create doubt or questions as to the legality of the perceived competitor’s efforts.

Now if it truly is your desire to become successful, you should avoid at all costs spending any time around such scarcity-minded people. A mind set of abundance is what the truly successful people possess.

The surest manner and way to test an individual’s true and real mind set and personal philosophy is to observe them as they go about their own uninterrupted ways of building and minding their businesses and working with other people. Watch them and their actions, what they actually do,… don’t just listen to their words of praise or their stated intentions. Every person’s real and actual beliefs are always born out through their directed thoughts and performed actions.

Many years ago one of my mentors gave me some very wise personal counsel and it remains as effective and accurate today as it was the day he gave it to me over thirty years ago. Bill was his name and said to me, most emphatically, that if you really want to be happy and achieve great and high levels of personal success, then it is always best for you to….“keep your cotton-picking nose out of someone else’s cotton-picking business.”

If you are really working hard and helping other people and growing personally to a higher mental level, it has been my personal experience that you have little or no time for anything else if you want to keep your personal life in balance. Folks that are always sticking their noses into other people’s affairs, criticizing other people, or condemning people outside their own immediate family, are always the ones with their noses stuck, into places they should not be! If you have time to search out other people’s problems, you are not doing enough of what you should be doing within your own business and family.

If you find yourself getting caught up in the criticizing, complaining about, and condemning of other people,…then get your own nose out of their affairs. Get your own nose back into the affairs of your own business activities and start helping more people with whom you are directly involved who really do need your help. The other people with whom you are interfering, really don’t want or need your uninvited assistance. So by keeping your own nose in only your own affairs,… everyone comes out a winner and no personal relationships are damaged or destroyed.

As a note of caution,….not a threat,…..the best way that I know of to get our own nose severely broken,… is to stick it where it does not belong.

Develop and keep a positive mind set of Abundance. Keep your nose out of others people’s affairs! I promise by doing so, you will indeed be a happier, healthier, and more productive individual.
