One of the most beautiful things that happen to a Christian Believer while living their lives is that great and good things will come to you in many different presentations seemingly from “Out-of-the-Blue.” Such things will bless and encourage you and empower you to be strong and courageous while you are being attacked by ugly and unruly circumstances while living your normal life. Such things and information will come in the strangest of occurrences and they will come to you from people you personally know, and also from other people you have never met or known before. These messages and those who deliver them to you are definitely from God. Respect the messengers and thank God for bringing just what you needed into your life….whether you felt that you needed it or not!
Such was the case that happened to me just two days ago. A tremendous and very serious challenge exists in my life right now. It seems almost insurmountable. But I know without a doubt that such a challenge is “nothing” in the eyes of my God. At any rate, I was stressed out, tired, worn out, and somewhat worried how all things would actually end up,…even though My God has already promised me in the Bible, in the Book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 28 NKJV:
(28) “And we know that all things work together for good to
those who love God, to those who are the called
according to His purpose.”
I took a quick inventory of events and pondered the Word of God and what He has to say about handling the impossible. I immediately settled right down, full well knowing that no matter what the circumstances, events or activities that appear to be working against me, that in the end of matters everything would work out for my own good. How could I be so sure?….Because God promised me that they would!
Faith = Belief + Trust + Obedience
I know that the Holy Bible is the inerrant and truthful Word of God. I know that I can trust what God tells us in His Word. I know that whatever God says can be used to stand on against all powers and principalities that ever come against me. I know I can fully rely upon what God’s Word tells me to do. I believe that, I trust that, and I choose to be obedient to the Lord’s instructions to me. Therefore I have faith in God and I choose to exercise that faith by my boldly taking action to do exactly what God says for me to do.
You see, faith tells a person to do that which he cannot plainly see to do. Faith says trust in the instructions of the Lord. And faith demands that we obediently perform the God given instructions by our own efforts and actions. Once we have completed our own part, God is always faithful and just to reward our increased levels of faith. He always does what He promises that He will do! The only catch is that we must do our part first.
Faithful performance is always rewarded by God Almighty.
The Word of God tells us like it really is…in the Book of Romans, Chapter 8, verse 30 NKJV:
(30) “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called;
whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He
justified, these He also glorified.”
All we need to do is to trust what the Word of God tells us and then obey those instructions and promises and do the work called for, and then trust God to provide His promised rewards.
I would certainly hope that you readers and listeners understand what I am telling you right now. I would hope and pray that you are beginning to see the value of having and developing a strong and deep Spiritual Root to your life by becoming a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Once your Spiritual Root is in place, you need to spend the rest of your life deepening and strengthening this root by learning and understanding more and more about what God tells us within the pages of Holy Scripture. This can only happen as a result of reading and feeding on the Word of God on a daily basis.
Spiritual growth is a planned event, not an accident. Spiritual growth is a purposed effort in a constant daily reading and understanding of what God says within His Holy Bible. We are to read and ponder what the Scriptures tell us to do every day.
How much time are you spending everyday reading and learning what God’s Word has to tell you? How much extra effort are you spending each week using and applying what you have learned from the Word of God?
Faith is an action word….not a passive one or reactive one.
God makes this fact very clear within the Bible in the Book of James, Chapter 2, verse 26 NKJV:
(26) “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
When you are living by faith, you are living, believing, and working beyond your own personal abilities. When you are living by faith you are using the knowledge and information you have learned from your study of God’s Word. You can only work in faith once you have used up all of your own talent and abilities. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity. You see, God can only takeover control of the events, people, activities, and personal performance…after,…you have exhausted all of your own talent and abilities.
Faith is coming to the end of your own rope, tying a knot in it and hanging on until God comes charging in to your life and takes charge of all happenings and events.
Being totally patient and continuously working without having to see any results is the key to living by faith. Trust God.
Your place is to trust and then obey what God’s Word instructs you to do! You do your part first. Then leave the rest up to God!
God’s Greatest Blessings to All of You………………
