A Few Good Moments

You cannot change the “past” it is gone,… not to be recovered.  You cannot do anything about the “future” it has not arrived yet.  You only have the “Precious Present” which is where you get all of the important things done or accomplished that play into your life and your future.

A wise man once said,  If you are failing to plan ahead, you are automatically ( by default ) planning to fail.  No truer words have ever been spoken.

Your actions, decisions, and activities of today were what you planned on doing with them yesterday.  Likewise, what you are planning today about how you intend perform tomorrow will be the exact activities in which you engage as the sun rises in the morning.  A human being, no matter who or where they are, will always do that which they are most often thinking about.  Their brains are the command posts of all bodily activities and efforts.  As such, what a person thinks about the most is almost always what he or she actually does.

With that in mind, let’s dive off into a really important area you need to know about.  There is one overarching truth that you should bury in the confines of your own mind and never forget.  If you truly do desire to become successful, then spend a vast majority of your time and energy dwelling in the present moment–it is always here and it is timeless.

Almost everyone today is far too busy to get the important things in life accomplished.  Our life is just too fast-paced.  We are so busy running around in circles it seems there is no time left to get the important things in life finished.  The  immediate always seems to be interrupting the important.  That is a concise description on “How-To-Fail.”  May I suggest that you reevaluate your system of setting priorities on how you spend your time and energy.

This entire discussion is going to revolve around the critically important part of your life that I will simply label…planning your efforts and activities on a daily basis.

Such daily planning of activities can only happen if you become willing and committed to setting aside a few good moments every day, preferably early in the morning, in which you seriously and carefully plan how you intend to spend your day.

I completely understand how valuable time is…it is not to be wasted,….so don’t waste any of it!  Know what it is that you are going to accomplish everyday before the day begins for you.  Set your priorities and do not allow them to be changed without your 100 per cent agreement and approval.  If you cannot properly lead yourself,…you will never be able to lead other people.

Whenever you set a clear intention for your actions, and then follow those intentions up with committed wholehearted activity and effort, powerful and very exciting things begin to happen in your life!  Things like cultivating more peace and relaxation for your own enjoyment and benefit,…deepening awareness and connection of your life with other people’s lives,…enhancing personal relationships by and between you and other people or beings be they mortal or spiritual,…and developing greater kindness, gratefulness, and wisdom within your own heart and mind so as to be able to share these qualities with other people as you serve, love care for, and assist them.  Doing all of this for your own personal benefit is a good thing.  Doing it all for the glory of God Almighty is a much BETTER  and a very much GREATER thing!

All of these things I am discussing boils down to one of the most basic questions ever asked to any human being.  The question was posed for all mankind by the Cheshire Cat in the cartoon movie “Alice in Wonderland.”  Do you remember the cat laying on a tree limb smoking a water pipe and blowing out smoke rings as Alice skipped by him? Alice was pouring out questions and inquiries to the Cat so fast that he could not answer one,…before another question was being asked.  Life, the moment was just speeding by.  Finally in disgust, the cat took a long draw on the water pipe and exhaled the smoke spelling out the all-important-question that every one of us needs to ask and re-ask ourselves.  The cat’s question was:  Whooo  R  U ?

Knowing who you really are and what you are really doing with your life is absolutely required knowledge that you must completely know and understand before you are even ready to begin your personal Journey to Success.  Knowing one’s life purpose is essential if you seriously intend to reach your desired destination.

So how much time do you think you need every morning to plan out your day so as to maximize your productivity? An hour?  Fifteen minutes? One-Half Hour?  You tell me .

Permit me to suggest that you start your new program off by simply taking five quick minutes each and every morning to plan your day.  Make sure that you have a note pad and pen to write down what it is that you are going to accomplish.  Prioritize your schedule and put the most important, the most critical things,… to accomplish at the very top of your list.

Once you start to work, eliminate the distractions…cease the mindless and pointless conversations.  Cut out your coffee breaks.  Work and drink at your desk.  Above all set time limits on how long it will take you to complete each of your “to-do” items.  Stick to those time limits for each of your items to complete.

The combination of attention, intention, and wholeheartedness offers you a radically different way of approaching life.  Choosing to adopt this method we are discussing provides you with a method to “awaken” your inner self and come off your “automatic pilot” way of doing things.

In order to make radical changes in your life, you must radically change the manner and way you think and perform.  You can do it all….it just takes…

A few good moments……every day.
