(5) “Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of
God.
(6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is
born of the Spirit is Spirit.
(7) Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ ”
John 3 : 5–7 NKJV
Free From Indwelling Sin
(1) “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in
Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit.
(2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me
free from the law of sin and death.
(3) For what the law could not do in that it was weak through
the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of
sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the
flesh,
(4) that the righteous requirement of the law might be
fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit.
(5) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on
the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the
Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
(6) For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace.
(7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not
subject to the law of God nor indeed can be.
(8) So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
(9) But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the
Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the
Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
(10) And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but
the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(11) But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead
dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also
give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells
in you.
Romans 8 : 1–11 NKJV
I love the way that God’s Holy Word always hits the nail square on the head. God never minces any words or thoughts. He always goes “straight for the throat” so to speak in that He always tells the truth whether you like it or not,…whether you agree with it or not,…whether it bothers you or not. The Truth is the Truth. That’s It,…Period! It never changes no matter what man tries to do to change or adjust it to fit his own personal wants or needs.
God tells us that He is no respecter of persons. His laws apply equally to everyone. No exceptions! Truth never adjusts or changes. What is true today remains so for tomorrow, next week,…or next year. You can always count on God’s Truths and His moral integrity….God never changes! Man changes his mind, his position, his thoughts or his opinions and will bend to the point of breaking no matter which way the wind is blowing. Such is not the case with God. He is always constant. Never does He change His Words, His Positions, or His Promises. You can and always will be able to count on God to do the very thing that He promised He would do.
The world or “fleshly” view of things is always against and in violent opposition to God because it takes lots of long, hard, and sustained work effort to accomplish the things God wants a human being to righteously do. Man is simply not capable of doing what God wants him to do all by himself. Whenever left alone, man will always drift away from God and grow closer to sin and to Satan. That is always the way it works! If you truly desire to do things right and righteously, then you need help from the Holy Spirit of God. To acquire or have access to this power you must be born-again. Jesus Christ is the only Way to reconcile yourself with and back to God.
Now you can fight this truth of life or you can accept it. The Truth will never change. Common sense dictates you should accept it so as to enable you to have the life you have been looking for and desire to live. Choose Life…not death. Choose Life…and be filled with joy and happiness. God’s Word in the 8th Chapter of the Book of Romans clearly provides us the straight way forward to have God and His strength and power living within our own hearts and minds.
The Word declares that the law of the Spirit of life has set us free from the law of sin and death. It reveals the difference between Christian mentoring and the world’s mentoring. Christian mentors do not build a reliance on themselves, but rather always direct their proteges to become completely reliant on God and His ways.
In order for a person to grow, mature, and become truly successful in life, he must first begin and continue to live a life of liberty (Rom 8:1–8), hope (Romans 8 : 9–15), and power (Romans 8 : 26–39).
Please observe how the Holy Spirit guides, leads, and directs we believers through the living of our own lives here on earth:
1. He intercedes and groans for us. (Romans 8 : 22–23, 26–27).
2. He directs and testifies to us. (John 16 : 13, Acts 20 :22–23,
Romans 8 : 14).
3. He empowers and anoints us for service. (Acts 18; Rom 8 :
28–37; 1 John 2 : 27).
4. He searches and enables us to discern. (Rom 8 : 26–27; 1 Cor 2 :
9–15).
5. He confirms and bears witness with us. (Rom 8 : 14–16; 1 John
5 : 5–9).
God created all of us…that includes you! He knows how things work for us and how we are to work with them. He provides all that any of us really need. Our part is to totally trust what He directs us to do and then do it!…without having to have all of the answers to all of the possibilities that might occur during the course of our attempting to do what He has instructed us to do.
Beginning an assignment given to you by God is really “half-done.” Once you begin and get moving in the direction of God’s instruction, all that remains is the doing of the required work. Your obedience to His direction for your life makes everything He promised work out for your ultimate good. Trust God and His will for your life!
To become successful in all of your work efforts, all you need do is to put other people first and your self last. That impresses God and causes Him to desire to greatly bless your life.
God’s Greatest Blessings to All of You…………………
