(23) “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’
(24) Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’
People who most usually and most often never get to where they would like to be have a serious lack of belief in many critical things. Such unbelief appears in the form of doubt, worry, imagined fear, questioning, and unwillingness to change and do what is required to be done in order for them to achieve their own dreams and goals.
History is filled with stories of great achievement and success from and for the most unqualified, poorly prepared individuals imaginable,…all because they have their own serious dreams and they believe in themselves, their dreams, and their abilities to work and change and overcome seemingly insurmountable odds against them. That is the message of the above reference Scripture verse. ’All things are possible to him who believes.’ If a person cannot or will not believe in themselves and in their abilities to overcome obstacles in their lives, then it is going to be a most difficult task for them to also believe in their dreams and the accomplishment of the goals they set for themselves to achieve, in order to realize those dreams. Personal belief is a very powerful ally. It can and does permit an individual to accomplish things that most people would never imagine they could accomplish.
The power of personal faith and belief is the foundation for the accomplishment of seemingly impossible things by weak people who heretofore just didn’t appear to possess physically what it takes to accomplish great tasks required for them to reach their dreams and achieve their goals.
Whenever God’s Word uses the word, “All,” All means all,…that is all, that all means!
So, as applies to every person and every dream,…All things are possible to him who believes (has sufficient faith to cause them to act, perform, and accomplish) and is willing to persevere and continue to work until they have sufficiently done enough to completely realize their own dreams and goals…regardless of circumstances and situations they face.
Life does not have to be perfect or complete for a person to achieve personal success. But they do have to be and stay motivated so as to enable them to persevere and overcome the negative forces that are always working against them.
Dreams and goals are the power forces that internally drive a person to keep on keeping on until they reach what it is that they truly and honestly desire to achieve!
This is precisely why success is defined as the “Progressive realization of a worthwhile dream or goal.”
A true story please…….
By the time she was only 16, Romana was deserted by her husband and left alone to raise her two children. Living in Mexico, she was poverty-stricken, untrained, and unable to speak English,…but she had a dream for a better life, and she believed in her dream. She knew what hard work was all about and was not afraid of doing it. With only a few dollars to fuel that dream she, together with her two children, headed for Los Angeles, California, where she used her last seven dollars to take a taxi to the home of a distant relative.
Romana refused to live on the charity of others. She immediately found a job washing dishes, followed by another job making tortillas from midnight until 6 A.M. From her two jobs she was able to live most frugally and she was able to save $500, which she used to invest in her own tortilla machine. Over time, and with a great deal of hard work, Romana became the manager of the largest Mexican wholesale food business in the world.
This whole process didn’t just happen by luck or the taking of some sort of “magic pill”—it took lots of time, commitment, and sustained hard work with little to no real significant reward. It took the “Power of her dream” to sustain and propel her through the achievement process. It took the passionate pursuit of her accomplishing her own dream by turning it into reality. That is what personal success is all about!
And to add to this success, Romana Banuelos was hand picked by then President Dwight D. Eisenhower to become the 37th United States Treasurer. She truly exemplified what President Eisenhower had to say about dreams propelling our future: “We succeed only as we identify in life, or in war, or in anything else, a single overriding objective, and make all other considerations bend to that one objective.”
The Creator God of the universe made the process of accomplishing real personal success a simple one so that anyone could succeed—(was capable of succeeding). And He made this process just tough enough so that only those who chose to succeed and were willing to do the required work would be the ones who actually accomplished their desired success.
Have you clearly identified your own personal objective that you intend to be your own driving force in life?
Have you planned out of program that you will accomplish in order to achieve that objective?
Are you willing to do whatever it takes to complete your plan and accomplish your mission without worry, fear, or trepidation.
If so,…then get ready to begin your journey to your own personal success! Oh, and by the way,…Enjoy your journey!
