The only way you will ever find something for which you are seeking is for you to get up off your own “Rusty-Dusty” and get out into the places where what you are looking for resides, and then finally go to work diligently looking in every “nook” and “cranny” until you actually find, discover, or uncover that very thing for which you are searching. Here is some shocking news for you to consider. It is going to take a good deal of hard work and prolonged physical labor on your part to find and identify the thing(s) you are seeking. Accept it! All successful achievement comes from a steady, prolonged, and consistent work ethic. God’s Word tells us over and over again that we can achieve that which we desire and deserve if we will but work for such things without complaint, fault-finding, or excuse.
Keep in mind that you do not have to know or have all of the answers to all of the possible situations that may arise while you are in the process of discovering that which you are seeking. Your personal role is to properly identify that which you desire and then go to work obtaining it using just what talents and abilities you already possess. And all the while never quibbling or trying to bargain over the price that must be paid in full,…before accomplishing your goal of possessing the desire(s) of your own heart.
Once you begin your forward journey of accomplishing your heart’s desire, you never look back at your decisions, you never harbor any animosity toward yourself or others, you never start making excuses to quit or give up on the purpose of your personal mission, and you never doubt what you are doing. When you start up the road to your own success you never look back! You will only accomplish your desired goals by staying consistently and persistently “in the trenches” of doing the required work necessary for total achievement.
God will only reward an increase in your personal level of faith. Faith demands working and continuing to work whether or not you personally see any results. God tells us all about it in the Book of James, Chapter 2, verse 26, NLT:
(26) “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is
dead without good works.”
Good works are always the indicator for the exercise of your own personal faith. Good works are always the proof of good faith being exercised by an individual.
The truly great and successful achievers in life all agree that Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. The underlying truth of this statement can be shown through a story of record regarding the great achiever, scientist, and businessman, Thomas Alva Edison. Permit me to share it with you.
The governor of the state of North Carolina one fine day invited the great inventor Thomas Edison to be is personal guest at the Governor’s Mansion. As they talked together, the governor complimented Mr. Edison on his inventive genius.
“I am not a great inventor,” Edison said.
“But you have over one thousand patents to your credit, haven’t you?”
the governor asked.
“Yes, but about the only invention I can really claim as absolutely original is the phonograph,” said Edison.
“I am afraid I don’t understand what you mean,” countered the governor.
“Well,” explained Edison, “I guess I am an awfully good sponge. I absorb ideas from every course I can, and put them to practical use. Then I improve them until they become of some value. The ideas which I use are mostly the ideas of other people who don’t or won’t develop them themselves.”
There is an old great saying amongst the ranks of the highest achievers and most successful men and women in the world. It goes like this:
The only two things that separate the successful person from the failure is HOW THEY THINK and HOW THEY SPEND OR INVEST THEIR SPARE TIME AND MONEY.
The real winners in life are not always the wisest or most popular people on earth. Most times they are just the ones who will stick to the job of turning their own dreams and goals into reality until the job is completed and the dream is realized. You see, the winners in life are always the ones who start and then fully complete the jobs they started.
You do not necessarily need to do something original in your life in order to succeed. You only need to do something well and complete doing it!
Getting started is half done.
