Success, Victory, Achievement<\/strong> are all vivid descriptions of winning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Winning<\/strong> describes achieving the highest position of performance,…of coming in first place,…of finishing ahead of all competitors. Winning, becoming victorious, accomplishing the best of all performances all are words or descriptive phrases that best describe the champion competitor.<\/span><\/p>\n

This business of being the winner, of being the champion, of finishing the competitive effort in first place is all a mind set or a purposed planned event. It is not an accident. This type of resolutely purposed effort is what really sets apart the leaders who succeed in life from those who attempt to succeed, but only wind up failing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Victorious leaders all have one specific personal attribute in common: They all share an unwillingness to accept defeat. They refuse to lose….even when it looks like they have been defeated.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The old saying is still applicable to all victorious leaders. You cannot stop a person who will not be stopped…You cannot stop a winner from winning. That is just the way that it is in life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Those leaders who win and keep on winning simply never stay down. Whenever or wherever they get knocked down while living their life and accomplishing their own purpose, they always get back up on their own feet and continue on winning! They simply refuse to lose.<\/span><\/p>\n

Failure is the foundation upon which all success is built. You can never succeed if you are afraid to fail.<\/strong> The leader who gets back up after having been knocked down time after time will always be the one who, in the end, will be crowned the champion.<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, as concerns the real winners in life, they all live by the dedicated mind set that simply says,…they will not be defeated. They are always willing to get back up and fight another round. The alternative to winning is totally unacceptable to them. As a result, no matter the situation or circumstances facing them, they always figure out what must be done to achieve victory in their purposed efforts, make appropriate adjustments in their work habits, and then persevere on through the battles for as long as it takes for them to finally achieve their decided victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

It makes no difference whether it is a sports team, a military branch of service, a nonprofit organization, an individual business, or a combined group effort attempting to achieve a worthy goal or dream. Victory is always possible to the person or group that possesses and performs their efforts using all three of the following components that contribute to the team or group\u2019s dedication to victory:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Unity of Vision:<\/strong> Teams or other groups succeed only when all of the<\/span>
\nplayers have a unified vision, no matter how much talent or potential<\/span>
\nexists within the group.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Diversity of Skills:<\/strong> The greatest strength of any combined group<\/span>
\nof individuals is their wide diversity of different talents, abilities, and<\/span>
\nefforts. Think for a minute. What would it be like to watch a football<\/span>
\ngame between two teams who had only eleven \u201ccenters\u201d on each side<\/span>
\nof the ball…or say a business where there are only \u201csalespeople\u201d who<\/span>
\nwork. No group effort can or will ever succeed using only the people<\/span>
\nwho possess and display the same talents, abilities, or skills. Every<\/span>
\nsuccessful organization requires diverse talents within their operations if<\/span>
\nthey are ever to succeed and to last.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. A Leader Dedicated to Victory and Who Raises Players To Their<\/span><\/strong>
\nPersonal Potential:<\/strong> Everyone, no matter who they are, is capable of<\/span>
\ngrowing to a greater level of knowledge, understanding, and better<\/span>
\nleadership potential than they presently possess. Some such people<\/span>
\nmay require a little more help than do others, but make no mistake,…<\/span>
\neveryone is capable of personal growth.<\/strong> Head college and<\/span>
\nprofessional football coach, Lou Holtz, had it right when he said,<\/span>
\n\u201cYou\u2019ve got to have great athletes to win, I don\u2019t are who the coach is.<\/span>
\nYou cannot win without good athletes on the team,…but you can lose<\/span>
\nwith them. This is where coaching makes the difference.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

All leaders whether they are good or bad need to continually be growing themselves to higher levels of success. As long they are growing themselves, they will be able to help and assist other up-and-coming wanna-be leaders to reach higher and greater levels of performance and achievement. As long as all members of the team full well know what the team\u2019s vision clearly is, and know what their personal skills are (and are to be used for) within the confines of the team\u2019s vision,…then their only remaining task is for each person to be a team player and for each to put forth the consistent effort of personal performance as best as they are capable of doing up to the highest levels of personal and corporate expectation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Real and true leaders of other men and women are always equipping, teaching, and encouraging all of their followers to better themselves and their personal performance so as to be a greater contributor to the team\u2019s effort to accomplish their own dreams.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Personal and business growth are the results of any combined group\u2019s efforts to improve themselves and accomplish their related vision. As each follower increases their own productivity through personal growth, they corporately increase the productivity of the entire team. Everyone therefore wins.<\/span><\/p>\n

You, as the leader, need to be unwilling to accept defeat! You also need to encourage, and uplift your followers as you lead your team onward and upward toward success.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
