(13) \u00a0 <\/span>\u201cHappy is the man who<\/i> finds wisdom,<\/b><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>And the man who <\/i>gains understanding;<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(14) \u00a0 <\/span>For her proceeds are<\/i> better than the profits of silver,<\/b><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>And her gain than fine gold.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(15) \u00a0 <\/span>She is<\/i> more precious than rubies,<\/b><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/b>Those who earnestly seek wisdom will receive rewards that far exceed anything they can imagine.\u00a0 <\/span>You think you want silver<\/b>?\u00a0 <\/span>Wisdom is better.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You think you want gold<\/b>?\u00a0 <\/span>Wisdom is better.\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>You think you want fame, fortune, achievement, power?\u00a0 <\/span>Wisdom is better.\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Nothing you desire can compare with her!<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you know any wise parents who exhibit sound judgment in how they raise their children?\u00a0 <\/span>Do you know any fathers who know when to encourage and when to admonish, when to be tender and when to correct forcefully?\u00a0 <\/span>Do you know any mothers who know when to give advice and when to just listen, when to teach and when to let life\u2019s consequences be their children\u2019s teacher?\u00a0 <\/span>Now try to put a value on those wise insights: How much are they worth?\u00a0 <\/span>How valuable are they to sons and daughters facing the challenges of the twenty-first century?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Certainly Wisdom is a gift to share with those we love.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Journal Requirement:<\/span><\/p>\n

Write a letter to God, asking Him for wisdom to deal with a specific situation that presently exists in your life.\u00a0 <\/span>As you write, jot down possible solution steps you might take to begin solving your problem.\u00a0 <\/span>Of these, which reflect God\u2019s wisdom best?<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

You know that as long as you actually believe you are the one who is in total control of any given situation, you really are not operating on a level of faith.\u00a0 <\/span>It is only when you personally come to the end of your own abilities,\u00a0 <\/span>where you have expended all of your own talents in the handling of any situation, that you now find yourself in a position to let God take over the problem and solve it.<\/span><\/p>\n

All too often man thinks he is good enough or wise enough or able enough to handle things.\u00a0 <\/span>Well the facts of the matter are that he is not!\u00a0 <\/span>Man more than anything else needs God\u2019s help in the solution of most all of the situations that arise in his life.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The trouble is that man tries to do it all alone and in so doing messes things up.\u00a0 <\/span>It always takes more time and resources to redo <\/b>something you have messed up than it does to do it right the first time.\u00a0 <\/span>Pride and selfishness are the two major culprits that come into play when ever a man or woman decides to take total charge of the situation and solve all of the attendant problems themselves.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wisdom cannot be ordered and received from a manufacturer similar to the ordering and receiving an item from a store or catalog.\u00a0 <\/span>God gives us very special and specific instructions as to where we are to go to get this ever-so-valuable wisdom and how to get it once you are at the location from which it is dispersed. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His instructions, as always, are written in His Holy Word.\u00a0 <\/span>In the Book of JAMES 1 : 4-8 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>NKJV<\/span><\/p>\n

(4)<\/strong> \u00a0 <\/span>\u201cBut let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(5) \u00a0 <\/span>If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(6) \u00a0 <\/span>But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(7) \u00a0 <\/span>For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the LORD;<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(8) \u00a0 <\/span>he<\/i> is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

So you see quite clearly that all Wisdom comes from God.\u00a0 <\/span>It must first be requested from God.\u00a0 <\/span>Once the request is made, your mind will then be opened by the Holy Spirit to begin receiving it from the other activities you <\/i>must perform in order to gain this ever-so-valuable wisdom.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The ball is squarely in your court.\u00a0 <\/span>Now the learning process must begin.<\/span><\/p>\n

The best place in the world to go to learn wisdom is to God\u2019s Holy Bible.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Begin a daily reading habit.\u00a0 <\/span>Feed on The Word every day.\u00a0 <\/span>Go to your personal mentor and learn some alternative extra reading resources that can give you insight to more of God\u2019s wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Talk to your local church Pastor and other learned and experienced Christians who can direct you to some additional reading and listening resources concerning the gaining of Wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Read, Study, Listen and Learn.\u00a0 <\/span>Get into a Bible Concordance and do a word study on Wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Thirst for more Wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Pray and ask God to give your more insight and wisdom as you learn and study more and more of His Truth through His Holy Word.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, hang around men and women who are much more wise and experienced than you are.\u00a0 <\/span>Listen to what they are saying to others regarding the topic of Wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Observe how they are living their lives in wise and godly manners.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Remember….the person you will be in the next five years, depends upon the books you read and the people with whom you associate.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
