{"id":20843,"date":"2020-04-25T00:01:05","date_gmt":"2020-04-25T07:01:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/?p=20843"},"modified":"2020-03-19T12:19:07","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T19:19:07","slug":"successful-people-make-things-happen-failures-just-make-excuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/successful-people-make-things-happen-failures-just-make-excuses\/","title":{"rendered":"Successful People Make Things Happen &#8211; Failures Just Make Excuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Successful-People-Make-Things-Happen.mp3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-474\" src=\"http:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/SEV-CampfireAudio-300x86.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"86\" srcset=\"https:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/SEV-CampfireAudio-300x86.jpg 300w, https:\/\/davesevern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/SEV-CampfireAudio.jpg 375w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>God made the world in which we live totally symmetrical.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For every left&#8230;He made a right.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For every positive&#8230;.He made a negative.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For every good &#8230;He made a bad.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>What is the opposite of Success?&#8230;.You guessed it&#8230;.Failure.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In this life you either do one or the other.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There is no middle ground.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There is no fence to sit on or worse to straddle.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You either are pregnant or you aren\u2019t.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You either are awake or you aren\u2019t&#8230;Just he honest with yourself&#8230;.You either are successful or you aren\u2019t !<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There simply is no middle ground.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There is no acceptable excuse that can be used with which to justify failure in the United States of America.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You are a free citizen in a free country with the right to choose how and where to live your own life. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Let\u2019s take a good honest look at the word excuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">I have heard it said that <b>excuses <\/b>are the lies we tell ourselves to attempt to justify our own lack of performance as we attempt to hide from responsibility or accountability.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Make sense?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>An Excuse is the skin of a lie&#8230;&#8230;. stuffed with reason.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There is no acceptable excuse that can be used to justify failure!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Now please do not misunderstand me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If you are looking for a good excuse that you can use to avoid involvement or performance, you know that <b>any excuse <\/b>you use <b>will work.<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Your free will of choice applies to all of your own decisions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Just remember that it is only the actual \u201cdoing\u201d of the work or the \u201cperforming\u201d of the effort that actually gets the job done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>Excuses avoid doing the required work to accomplish a project.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>Excuses are the language of failures.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Doctor David J.
