Your Mental Attitude Will Determine Your Successful Altitude

To be successful a person must first know who they really are, where they really came from, where it is that they are really going, how they are really going to get there, and lastly with whom they will be traveling.

It has been said that if you don’t know where you are going you are not going too like where it is that you wind up.

YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AND PRODUCTIVE IN THE LIVING OF YOUR LIFE WITHOUT FIRST KNOWIN’ WHERE IT IS THAT YOU ARE GOIN’

YOU MUST HAVE A KNOWN PURPOSE AND DESTINATION FOR YOUR OWN EXISTENCE IN ORDER TO BE HAPPY AND PRODUCTIVE—TO ANSWER GOD’S CALL ON YOUR LIFE.

People who really know me well and truly know my heart’s desire, will vouch for me as being a great, serious, committed, and learned student of world history.  As a matter of fact I am presently in the process of writing three separate books concerning the history of mankind and the  development of personal freedom and liberty of all mankind as it developed from the Garden of Eden all the way through until the end of the Revolutionary War which was fought here in America.

The first of a three book series will specifically cover the time period from the very beginning of man on this earth from Creation up to and including the true and real individual freedom of mankind as was initiated with the signing of the Magna Charta in the year 1215 A. D. on the banks of the River Thames just outside Windsor Castle in England. It will then course its way through time and the real and true history of the world up until the landing of the Pilgrims on the sandy beaches of Cape Cod at Plymouth Harbor in New England in the year 1620 A.D.

The second book will cover the real and true times and events from the landing of the Pilgrims in North America at the Plymouth Plantation up to and through the victorious final battle of the seven year long French and Indian War fought in North America between England and France and the local Indian tribes which all ended in the year 1760 A.D.  The greatest ally of the French in this seven year battle were the local Indian tribes living here in North America, most all of whom hated the intruding foreigners— the European American settlers.

Of course the French and Indian War was the precursor to the American Revolutionary War which all began on April 19, 1775 A.D. with “a shot heard around the world” which was fired at Concord and Lexington in present day Massachusetts.  The hostilities of the Revolutionary War ended on October 19, 1781 A.D. with the final battle of Yorktown, Virginia.  The English-Americans, after having been victorious in the Revolutionary War against the British forces, used their new-found freedoms and liberties as the basis on which to create the foundation that established the actual founding of the United States of America with the victory over the British forces.

It was nearly two years after the surrender of British Forces under the command of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown, Virginia, before the Revolutionary War was wholly ended.  On September 3, 1783 A.D. a peace treaty was formally made in Paris, France.  This Peace Treaty made between the British and American Commissioners and Representatives, recognized the newly created United Staes of America as a fully and legally established free and independent nation.

As so few people I encounter today, know so little about the people and events of this epic battle, I have decided that there will be a third book written very soon concerning this great American Revolutionary War.  It will examine the true and real reasons why and how this epic battle was fought, who actually fought in it, and why they battled so long and hard to achieve their desired and purposed victory over a much superior force of opposition.

Freedom indeed does have a price tag.

I believe with all of my heart that all Americans should know the real truth about the price that has been paid for the real freedoms and liberties that we as Americans enjoy today throughout our land.  The fight to keep and maintain our fought-for freedoms and liberty continues on up to and through today.  Diligence is the watch-word that all self respecting Americans should know, think about, and continue to do what ever it takes to keep those precious personal values alive and well for our society and culture now and forevermore.

Now back to this article I am presently writing…….

Whenever a person comes to know the true history of an event or of an  occurrence as well as the types and kinds of people involved in such an event, it makes it all the sweeter if that individual is able to physically visit the very sight where these events and people actually walked and talked and carried on their own lives.  Having been blessed with the opportunity to visit a great majority of the physical locations portrayed within the pages of the three books I am writing, history has literally come alive in my own heart and mind.  I have written in such a manner and way as to help the readers of what I write to better understand the how and why of the recorded events and the people who performed them.

It is my heartfelt desire that the future readers of these books (once they are all published) will gain tremendous and much better understanding and knowledge about the coming of America and why it is so chosen and blessed by God Almighty as a “shinning light on a hill” for all the world to see and bear witness.  America was discovered and established as a Christian/Judeo nation.  Religion played an all important role in the different cultures and societies of the world at the time.

Americans primarily emigrated to this country known as the United States of America from western Europe.  However, our own “American” roots go back much further in time.  When a person comes to know the truth of the why things happened, he also will begin to better understand the reasons behind the events and the long term effects of such actions on the nations and the people who lived there at the time discussed.

In my personal opinion, history is a must-know subject for all those people who desire to achieve great and lasting personal success.  Once the past is accurately and well understood, the future can be better prepared for, forecasted, and understood; and therefore dealt with to positive conclusions.

To know history enables one to forecast the future.

History fills the spaces between the lines of the stories written about the life and times of all great people.  There is no denying it, all the truly great men and women of history not only performed and created great efforts and accomplishments; but also, left sound and good judgment and lessons of leadership for all those ensuing generations coming after them.

In London, England, there sits a great and historic massive building with centuries of glorious history that has occurred within and around it by and involving many different myriads of people and events.  The happenings surrounding this great building can teach us all some very wise knowledge and information, if we will but look for and discover such lessons.

Please permit me to share with you one snippet of Truth from which all readers and listeners can surely benefit.

Learning and knowing what to do and what not to do are always the gleaned pieces of knowledge and wisdom that can be gained from the experiences and knowledge of those great men and women who have gone before you.

A true story please………written over 900 years ago…Still applicable today.

Deep within the Crypts of Westminster Abbey in London, England, these words were engraved on the tomb of an Anglican Bishop in the year 1100 A. D.

“When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world.  As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

But it, too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lay on my deathbed, I suddenly realized: if I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country, and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.”

Examine yourself before you begin looking for the faults in other people.  Get yourself “right” first before you begin too much effort trying to correct other people and their efforts.

May I exhort you to obey the command of the Lord God where He writes in the Holy Bible in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 7, verses 1—6 NKJV:

Do Not Judge

(1)  “Judge not, that you be not judged.

(2)  For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged;
and with the measure you use, it will be measured back
  to you.

(3)  And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but
do not consider the plank in your own eye?

(4)   Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the
speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye.

(5)   Hypocrite!  First remove the plank from your own eye, and
then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your
     brother’s eye.

(6)   Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls
among the swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and
turn and tear you in pieces. ”

Everyone makes mistakes, errors, and miscalls. Cut them all a little slack and forgive them when they make such errors and misjudgments.  Nobody is perfect except for Jesus Christ.

May I encourage you to say this prayer as you begin each and every day for the rest of your life:

Lord—it is easy for me to look around and quickly find fault in others.  It is very easy for me to find fault in situations and the way things are that play into my life.  Let me first examine myself and find ways to make myself more perfect in Your image.  In doing so, Your light will grow in me and light the way so that others might see more clearly.  Help me to be aware Lord, that  to change the world, I must first change myself!”  In Jesus’ Name,….Amen.

Peace And Love to All of You………………………………Poppa  Bear
