If You Want to Climb The Ladder,
Put Yourself in Opportunity’s Way

If real and lasting success were so simple and easy to accomplish or achieve, then all of the real winners in life,…all of the true achievers in life,…would have to go out again and find something more difficult to accomplish. All real successful achievements in life no matter what they are,…or what type or category they involve,…carry with them a mighty and large price to be paid. All of the people who achieve greatness with the use of their lives full well know the exact price they personally paid. Once the desired success has been reached,…they also know that their success separated them from the masses, not by luck or chance, but by hard, prolonged, and continuous work ethic. You see, my friends, once you arrive at your chosen level of success, and you are rewarding yourself and family members for your hard work by lying on the sunny beach of some remote and exotic South Pacific island, you don’t want to be enjoying your relaxing time with everybody,…particularly lazy non performers. You would have nothing in common with such people,…nothing to talk about or like-kind experiences to enjoy. You would be bored to tears with such people in a matter of just a few hours.

It is not talent, education, knowledge, physical looks, skin color, or almost anything else that separates the highly successful folks from those who fail or from the “ne’r-do-wells.” But rather it is desire, resolute determination, and totally committed work habits that are consistently and persistently applied on a daily basis that define and separate the successful people from those who fail.

Your daily habits and work ethic will always determine the level of your own success.

Successful people are those who will eagerly do what failures refuse to do.

There is no case history ever recorded detailing how any man or woman “Quit” their way to success or “Lucked” their way to the higher levels of personal accomplishment. What I have discovered after working with people all around the world over the 7 decades of my life is that the word “Luck” is the failure’s word of choice to excuse away their laziness or half-hearted commitment level. “Luck” is the definition used by failures to explain a real achiever’s earned or created success.

Now let’s be honest one with another. We all know someone whose career seems charmed, who always seems to get handed more responsibilities, more promotions, and much better individual assignments. Every group or organization of people have their individual “stand-outs,” “elite achievers”, or “top producers.” It is no happenstance or accident that such great performers exist. “Luck”…is hard work,…lots of hard consistent work!

The question then begs to be asked,…“How does a person become such an elite achiever in today’s marketplace?” Well, I will tell you. Successful people actively put themselves in the “crosshairs of fortune.” Simply put, they are very courageous type men and women who are always on the look out for great opportunities. They have and maintain very high, positive, and healthy self images. These type folks possess and always openly display to those other people around them no matter who or where they happen to be,…a very positive mental attitude. They walk and talk just a little bit louder and faster than the average type person. They are very self confident. They possess and render very good common sense. They may not be experts in all fields of endeavor but they are smart enough to know when it is best to keep their mouths shut and their ears open. Instead of waiting for opportunities to appear, they seek them out or they simply create them for their own use.

People of great achievement are always growing themselves mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They continually strive to gain new talents, training, and experience. New adventurous opportunities do not frighten them. They always personally demonstrate a fearlessness no matter the circumstances surrounding them. They are always walking in total faith as they traverse their own road to success.

The most highly successful people in our society do not rest on their laurels. They do not stay within the security of their own comfort zone.
They are always expanding their personal comfort zone by pushing their creative thinking and problem solving skills in fresh and new uncharted directions.

And while these successful people most usually remain respectful and humble, they rarely keep a “low profile.” These individuals instead, always make sure that others around them or affiliated with them know that they are top performers by the example they always display and their “aire of positive expectancy and anticipation.” This is usually accomplished by them consistently communicating and collaborating with, as well as inspiring their colleagues to achieve top performance as well. They expect excellence from themselves and from those with whom they work.

Elite Producers most usually uplift other people with whom they work and associate. Outside people want to be around these type folks because they desire to help their coworkers raise their individual performance levels.

There is an old statement of truth that says: You attract what you are in life,…not what you want. And, of course, we all know the proven truth of the statement: Most people will always rise to the level that others around them expect them to achieve. In other words, whenever an average or lower level performer regularly associates with and learns from the example of those other high achievers,…the lower level person will almost always raise his productivity. To get better at what you are trying to do,…hang around top performers and learn from observation what and how to do the things that carry with them the greater rewards.

A healthy, courageous career is one in which you know where you want to go and you have a proven plan for getting there. It is one where you push yourself to learn, grow, and take on more leadership and personal responsibility, even if this means taking small steps (as opposed to large ones) in different directions until bigger ones become more comfortable.

Whenever or wherever you see an opportunity,…seize it!

Whenever or wherever you see a problem,…fix it!

And when you want something,…ask for it!

So you really want to become a highly successful person? Then begin preparing yourself for higher levels of responsibility right now. Always remember,…Success occurs in a person’s life when opportunity and preparedness meet.

Ask yourself: What do I need to do right now to get to where I want to be later? Being brave in business simply means taking that all important first step–and then taking more steps, one after another, until you have arrived at your preplanned destination.

Do not be afraid. Fear not. Charge on…you mighty man or woman of valor! For God is always with thee.

Peace And Love to All of You………………….Poppa Bear
