A Great Truth of Life – You Always Reap What You Sow

There are many things, events, circumstances, and people in and around your own life that are simply unalterable. They never change. They are always in place and will happen to or for you precisely as they have happened to or for some one else at some other time in history. Let’s take a peek at some examples. Ambient air temperature for you is the same as for your immediate neighbor. If rain is falling in your back yard, the chances are very good that it will also be falling in your front yard. Human nature has never changed since the beginning of time and man in the Garden of Eden,…people are totally predictable. A person with a bad attitude while at his place of work, usually brings that same bad attitude back home after the wok day ends. And lastly as an example, God will never trick or make a joke with or to you. He is a loving God, but He is also a just God. His Word and its Truth is the same always,…all the time,…everywhere. The wonderful truth of God is that He will never lie to you, deceive you, leave you, or force you to do that which you do not want to do….He loves you unconditionally. No matter what you have or have not done,…or who you are or have been.

His truths of life, however, apply equally to everybody, and He will never give any man an exception to His rule. God hates sin. He hates harm or personal abuse to other of His creations. He wants His Children to love and serve one another….no matter what! His Golden Rule is always applicable.

Now it is a well known Truth that you attract what you are,…not what you want.

It is also well known an equally applicable to all of His creation, that…. (1) People Do, What People See, and (2) you will always reap that which you personally sow.

These Truths of Life never change. They never adjust. They are always in place an apply equally to everyone. They are unarguable.

The Truths of Life apply to all of our interactions with other people within and without of our own families. How you treat and interact with people is most usually an extension of how you interact with your family members. So it is important to remember God’s Truth that you always…no exceptions…reap exactly what it is that you sow.

Allow me to share with you a very important tidbit of knowledge from the ages of time:

Your children are like mirrors–they reflect your attitudes in life!

Now Creator God said the same thing in a little different way. In the Book of Proverbs Chapter 20, Verse 7 NKJV God said:

(7)  “The righteous man, walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.”

These words clearly identify God’s instructions for us to carefully watch how we think, speak, and act in and around our own children,…and just as importantly what kind and type of a mental attitude we display to them as an example from which they will learn, duplicate, and grow.

I once read a short story about a college graduation ceremony that was held at a major American University that gets right to the heart of the matter of this discussion. Permit me to share it with you.

“A very well known, highly successful, and prominent national businessman was once asked to give the commencement address at a great midwestern university. He was sitting on the raised platform after delivering his moving speech. He was watching the new graduates walking across the stage and receiving their college degrees and certificates. While observing this grand recognition ceremony, the entire filled-to-capacity audience began loudly applauding for a special student who had earned a perfect straight A, 4.0 grade point average,…the highest possible earned grade level. During the applause, a faculty member who was seated next to the speaker, leaned over to him and said, “She may be Miss Genius,…but her attitude stinks!” The featured speaker later admitted to the other faculty members, “without even thinking, my hands stopped clapping for her in mid air. I couldn’t help but think,…how sad.”

Now hear this! No matter how beautiful, intelligent, talented, athletic, or otherwise gifted a child may be…there is no substitute for a child having a positive, caring, and loving attitude towards other people!

The foremost architect of a child’s mental attitude is not going to be a teacher, professor, or pastor,…but rather will be the parents of that child.

Be very careful of the attitudes you “feed” your children on a daily basis. They become the diet of your child’s mind, just the same as food becomes the diet for your child’s body.

Don’t feed your children “junk” ideas, “sour” opinions, “rotten” theology, “poison” feelings, or “wilted” enthusiasm….Instead, feed your children the best and most positive ideas, the best uplifting expressions of feeling, and good and most inspirational opinions that you do have!

The end result of raising your children properly is and will be the blessing that flows back to you as mature parents and even better, as grandparents. The good example you as parents live and emulate, display and practice, and provide through your thoughts, deeds, and actions will be the seeds that you sow into your children’s minds. As these seeds begin to sprout and take root, they will determine how your children grow and mature,… which, in turn, will be exactly what they duplicate and practice as they live and conduct themselves and eventually raise their own future families.

Sow good seeds, and because of God’s Law of Sowing and Reaping, you will indeed reap a good and great harvest through the lives of your own children. Such a grand harvest will be comprised of more and better of the same that you planted in them.

Oh the joy of knowing and applying God’s Laws into our lives and those of our loved ones!
